6 Beautiful beaches of Aigio to visit

The beaches of Aigialia

As the summer triumphs, Aigialeia’s coastal coastline changes face and mood, offering the necessary breaths of coolness.

Its water world closes your eye and invites you to conquer them one after another. The cool hug of the Corinthian Sea is open to all!

Most of the cobbled beaches, with crystal clear waters, have highlighted the areas that are touching idyllic holiday resorts. Organized or not, cosmopolitan or ideal for family excursions, humbly or extrovert, the Aegean sea shelters promise an unforgettable summer.

1. Aliki Beach

The organized beach next to the namesake wetland has a Blue flag award.

Although popular, it is not noisy; it’s usually sheltered from the winds and offers a variety of beach taverns.

The nearby, picturesque beach of Temeni, features sand and pebbles and a large part of it is organized. The entire area is verdant while, along the road you will find taverns, restaurants, and cafés. The holiday center of OTE is found here.

2. Akoli Beach

Akoli or Avythos for the locals is the beach of the Rododafni Village and one of the most famous in Aegialia. It features a long, pebbled beach and as suggested by its name, its depth is huge. This is why your diving mask will be your top accessory here

At the end of the pedestrianized eastern side you will find beach volley and kite surf facilities.

In the summer, the west side of the beach is also accessible by foot, as vehicle traffic is prohibited during the tourist season.

It also features restaurants, bars, cafés, and many rental rooms.

3. Lampiri Beach

It is the first beach you will encounter by going to Aegialia from Patras. A natural bay and with the “pudding” of the pine trees reach the sea. It is small and its waters are gradually deepening.

Extremely seaside tavern, luxurious beach bar, and many cafes will satisfy those who want to combine fun with their dives.

4. Digieliotika Beach

The beach of the quiet homonymous village is organized and since 2005 has been awarded a Blue Flag award.

Serves people with disabilities, while here in summer you can swim quietly with a lifeguard.

Kitesurf enthusiasts gather on this beach as the strong winds in the area are favored many times.

5. Rodia Beach

The small pebbled beach has crystal clear, shallow waters and is ideal for those who prefer quietness.

The village of Rodia has a very traditional color, a characteristic square with the picturesque chapel of Metamorphosis Sotiros, taverns, cafes, and a trademark of a perennial plane tree in the middle of the road leading to the beach.

6. Pounda Beach

The beach of Trapeza village is perhaps the most charming and most popular of the Archaic coastline.

Cold with deep water is one of the best in the Northern Peloponnese. It is large and easily accessible with small pebble and blue flag.

But he has two personalities. With one section organized with sunbeds, showers, disabled facilities, restaurants, cafes, and beach bars. Suitable for families and large groups. While the other part of “wants quietness”.
